Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Thursday, Jan. 7

Calvin Blake Jr. pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Credit given for time served prior to this date, and the defendant shall receive drug and alcohol treatment while in the custody of the MDOC. Must pay all court costs and fees in the amount of $422.50, a prosecution fee of $200 and restitution to the victim in the amount of $2,643.48 in monthly installments in the office of the Adams County Circuit Court. Court costs and prosecution fees are to be deducted first from any amounts paid on behalf of defendant, and the remaining amounts shall be paid as restitution to the victim.

 

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Friday, Jan. 8

Tempestt Atkins, 22, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573. Restitution set at $35.98.

Suprenia Ellis pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for three days served. Banned from store. Fine set at $743.

 

Monday, Jan. 11:

Bill Calvin, 38, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

Sharon Perkins Chatman, 44, pleaded guilty to DUI — first offense test results. Sentenced to 48 hours suspended. Total fine set at $850.

Latrelvis D. Thomas, 36, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Cody Carradine pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace — domestic violence. No jail time assessed. Fine set at $473. Restitution set at $425 to be paid to Patricia Hoggatt.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 12

Ketron Dekerris Lutcher, 33, charged with uttering a forgery. Case bound over to a grand jury after preliminary hearing held. Bond reduced from $13,500 to $8,500.

Jeffrey Blanton, 17, charged with murder in the second degree. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond set at $75,000.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 13

Jody M. Cothron, 39, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Darnell Bates, 57, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Dollar General Store. Fine set at $573.

Archie Davis pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.
