Deavonta Perry pleaded guilty to grand larceny.

Lionell Hoggatt pleaded guilty to simple assault.

Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Tuesday, Jan. 26

Antonio Turner, whose guilty plea to possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (more than 0.1 grams, but less than 2.0 grams) was withheld by the court and defendant entered an order of Non-Adjudication of Guilt on May 27, 2009, and was ordered to enter into the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court District Drug Program, has his Non-Adjudication of Sentence revoked in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court for being again noncompliant with the terms and conditions of the Sixth Judicial Adult Drug Court Program. Sentenced to three years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Friday, Jan. 15

Michael Thomas, 19, pleaded guilty to amended charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Verbally told to have no contact. Fine set at $473.

Richard D. Smith, 37, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Verbally told to have no contact. Fine set at $473.

Heather Miller-Dunaway, 37, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $613.

Johnathan Curtis Harveston, 36, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Andrya Perritt, 38, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Ashley Smith, 30, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Curtis D. Sanders, 41, pleaded guilty to obstructing public streets. Pleaded guilty then released for time served.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

Ketdricka Williams, 21, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $498.

Lakota Walton, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Michael Washington, 25, found guilty of amended charge of disturbing the peace of a business. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $348.

Tonya Nickel pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from store. Fine set at $573.

Laronica Shintrell Kaho, 26, pleaded guilty to amended charged of disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523.

Friday, Jan. 22

Robert Moultrie, 43, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To spend six days in jail. Fine set at $423. Moultrie also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To spend six days in jail. Fine set at $523 minus $100 suspended. Must pay a fine of $423.

Kenneth Lloyd, 57, pleaded guilty to five counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $1,834.38.

Monday, Jan. 25

Mark L. Sturdivant, 29, pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $498. Restitution set at $100.

Edward Knight charged with shoplifting — first offense. On joint motion of victim and prosecutor, this case is dismissed.

Crystal Smith, 30, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Georgia I. Chatman, 28, pleaded guilty to amended charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.

Mikell Chatman charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case remanded to files — subject to anger management report from previous charge.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

Derrell Payne, 24, charged with two counts of child abuse. On joint motion, case transferred to youth court.

Savoy Maurice Jones, 27, charged with burglary of a commercial building, cars, etc. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond set at $30,000.

Patrice West, 36, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor embezzlement. Sentenced to 60 days with 50 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve eight days in jail. Fine set at $1,000. Restitution set at $6,572.87. Bond set at $10,000.

Travious K. Grinnell, 26, charged with possession of a weapon by a felon. Case bound over to a grand jury after preliminary hearing. Out on $10,000 bond.

Wednesday, Jan. 27

Kawana Lafaye Jones, 39, found guilty of disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423.

Ashle B. Cupit, 35, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $623. Cupit also pleaded guilty to trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.
