FERRIDAY — Services for Chris Thomas Sr., 68, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Rufus Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Natchez, the son of Cornelius and Matilda Thomas Dean. He was a retired correctional officer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Pinkey Carter Thomas; four sons, Elbert McMorris and wife, Duretha, of Minnesota, Terry Blanton of Milwaukee, Jerome Bradford and wife, Quantina, of Tallulah, La., and Chris Thomas Jr. and wife, Queenie, of Houston; four daughters, Cora Blanton Thomas of Memphis, Tenn., Carla Blanton of Milwaukee, Danita Thomas of Houston and Cassandra Norman of Atlanta; one sister, Bernice Smith of Natchez; and a number of grandchildren.
