FERRIDAY — Services for Clifford Ray Evans Sr., 58, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in Ferriday, will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Evans was born Aug. 19, 1957, in Monroe, La., the son of Houston Lee Evans and Dorothy Lagar Evans.

He worked as a driller in the oil field and was better known as “Wolfe Cookie.” He turtle-farmed most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Clifford Ray “Bubba” Evans Jr.; and one stepbrother, Michael Lagar.

Survivors include two daughters, Rayla Passerrello and husband, Vincent, of Sterlington, La., and Tanisha Evans of Clayton; special friend, Nelda Trottier of Ferriday; one brother, Harvey Ray Ellis Jr. and wife, Lorie, of Marion, La.; one sister, Judy Andrews and husband, Steve, of Marion; biological parents, Kiola and Harvey Ellis of Dean, La.; three grandsons, Tobin Lee Hennessy, Hunter Ray Hinton and Michael James Davis; one granddaughter, Sarah Christian Passerrello; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
