Tom Jones chanted the lyrics “Love is in the air, everwhere I look around.” Love will unquestionably be in plain view and center stage, literally as the pastor, minister Dwight Greene and first lady Beverley Greene, deacons, officers, faculty and members along with, yours truly, Vickie Green, writer, director and producer of, Living Word Worship Center’s Performing Art’Z Academy, premiers the Worship Center’s first Valentine’s Day romance/drama/comedy on Sunday. The 6 p.m. timing of the production was affectionately selected, with you and all of the Miss-Lou lovebirds in mind.

This Valentine’s Day you can “have your cake and eat it too,” meaning if you’ve made plans to have a romantic, candlelit dinner for the love of your life, you don’t need to cancel. As a matter of fact, your sweetheart will undoubtedly sing your praises for months to come, all because you’ve gone the extra mile by adding an extra special treat, setting a new trend of romance by jumpstarting the evening with a live inspirational stage play performance and then capping the night off with a romantic dinner and so forth. The most important matter is to make your sweetheart feel joyful, loved and special.

Living Word’s Performing Art’Z Academy has worked and rehearsed diligently to provide spiritual, encouraging, wholesome family entertainment via its Art’s and Entertainment Ministry, not only for our community, but for surrounding areas as well. At 6 p.m. Sunday, you are cordially invited to join us for an evening of romance, comedy, soul-stirred singing, maybe a few tears, and drama at it’s finest as “The Haves and The Have Nots/Loving 2 Ain’t EZ 2 Do,” overtakes the center stage, yet again.

This drama is a continuation of part one, from the Dec. 20, 2015 premier of, “The Haves and Have Nots Holiday.” If you missed that production, no worries, an audible recap will bring the new audience, “up to speed.” It was a drama that is currently, highly talked about, even today. Therefore we say, “Glory to God,” for the mighty works of His hand. Part two, will hit the ground running as the show catapults greater level of fluctuations, twists and turns, climaxes, music, sound and visual effects.

None of the dynamics could be maximized nor any transitions entwined, could run smoothly without a cast that is willing and able to put a writer’s vision into motion. This magnificent group of veteran, current and new actors that will bring life to this epic musical will be, minister Terrie Carter as Mama B, Edwin L. Green Sr. as Mason and Jocelyn Rice who will dominate the role as Chi-Chi.

Marcus Washington, host of his online radio show, also snagged a lead role in the stage play, “BROKEN.” We’re elated to have him grace our stage with his presence portraying that same devious and cunning role as McKinnly.

Chris Sherman holds the recurring role as SVander, however, his unexpecting demeanor will leave the audience in awe this time around.

Songstress Ashely White dominates the role as Sugar. Joshua Watson, upcoming inspirational lyricist and rapper, makes his acting debut in the role of Keno.

To break a bit of drama are popular demand casts, Luna casted by Peggy Scales and Baby-Doll casted by England Yarne’. These two characters are a contempory version of Frick and Frac, Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello, Amos and Andy … well you get the picture. Newcomer soloist Donell Smith commutes from Baton Rouge casting the role as Leo, one of the hired help/butlers at the Vanderwolf’s mansion, who’s the flip version of the old-maid Willimenia, who casted the role in part one, played by Vickie Green, who will cast a dual role in this production. Others featured are Diardis Hudson, Calvin Muhammad, Brother Maurice and so many more.

Again, we utilize this method, requesting at least one hour and 10 minutes of your time by inviting each and everyone of you, your church marriage and singles ministry, engaged couples, battered women and men shelters, “Haves and Have Not Watch Party Groups,” out for an epic stage play. Special theatrical settings, with extra special music and original sounds have been prayerfully created, crafted and composed by Edwin Lee Green II of Stage Plus and will set the tone for each scene that the audience won’t soon forget.
