CENTREVILLE — Services for Jo Ann Sloss Smylie, 77, of Centreville, who died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Newman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Merrill Blalock officiating.

Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smylie was born Dec. 9, 1938, in Ashton, Idaho, the daughter of Joseph Thomas Sloss and Reva Neeley Sloss.

She served as election commissioner, justice court judge and as loan officer at United Mississippi Bank. She was retired.

Mrs. Smylie was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Smylie; one daughter, Kelly Noland of Centreville; two sons, Terry Noland and Joe Noland, both of North Richland Hill, Texas; three sisters, Eva Rae Laing of Cookville, Texas, Della Mae McGuire of Milton, Fla., and Marlys Marie Sanders of Baton Rouge; two stepchildren, Ben Smylie of Centreville and Barbara Carol Smylie of Denham Springs, La.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert McKey and Jeff Aaron.
