Monday, March 14

Bobby Ray Rutherford pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact of a violent crime (non-habitual) in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Credit received for any time served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and fees as well as a $200 prosecution fee immediately.

Monday, March 21

Keywon Deshay Jackson pleaded guilty to possession of a convicted weapon by a felon as a non-habitual offender in Judge Johnson’s court. Sentenced to one year in the MDOC. Credit received for any time served. Must pay all court costs and fees as well as a $200 prosecution fee immediately.

Friday, March 4

Demestra Winding Jr., 28, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations Fine set at $713. Benjamin Byrd, 24, charged with simple assault. Case remanded to files at request of officer.

Conn Kenneth McCalip, 46, charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case remanded to files at request of officer.

Tuesday, March 8

Michael Wayne Butts Jr., 34, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Sentenced to 60 days with 55 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for five days served. Fine set at $450. Bond set at $4,000.

Joshua Myers, 23, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Sentenced to 60 days with 55 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for five days served. Fine set at $450. Bond set at $4,000.

Hiawatha Ward, 26, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor embezzlement. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $1,000. Restitution set at $1,054.64. Paid $1,600 on March 8. Must still pay $454.64.

Kimberly Johnson, 33, pleaded no contest to simple assault attempt to create fear. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $648.

Charoyd Henrence Bell, 35, found guilty of disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $498. Bell also found not guilty of carrying a creature in a cruel manner.
