Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Monday, March 28

Jordan D. Johnson pleaded guilty to three separate counts of aggravated assault in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court. Count I — sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections with five years suspended. Must serve five years on formal reporting, post-release supervision through the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Defendant shall receive full credit for any time served in the Adams County Sheriff’s Jail. Must pay a fine of $1,000 and all court costs and fees as well as a $200 prosecution fee. Count II — sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections suspended, which shall run concurrently with the sentence in Count I. Must pay a fine of $100 to the Mississippi Crime Victim’s Fund. Count III — sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections suspended, which shall run concurrently with the sentence in Count I. Must serve five years on formal reporting, post-release supervision through the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Friday, March 25

Randy Hurst, 18, charged with disturbing the peace by fighting. Case remanded to files — subject no more problems and school.

Bruce Binion pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

Monday, March 28

Mattie Pearl Washington, 62, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $623.

Vernon Perry pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

Wednesday, March 30

Keith Blanton, 38, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Southside Market. Fine set at $573.

Jennifer Tyree, 37, charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case remanded to files — officer subpoenaed but failed to appear (out of town).

Keyon Latrell Bailey, 18, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.

Emily Jones, 22, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Emily Jones, 22, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.

Cheree Thomas, 25, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.
