Thanks to Supervisor David Carter for respecting vote

Thank you David Carter for respecting the majority vote!

Our right to vote and the democratic process was totally ignored by all but one of our supervisors for whom we voted!

Perhaps a few of you supervisors do not understand the democratic process, or you do not comprehend what the following two words mean.

Here are a few definitions:

4Vote — a. A formal expression of preference for a candidate for office or for a proposed resolution of an issue: Let’s decide the matter by vote.

b. The act of voting: It took several votes to decide the matter.

c. A means by which such a preference is made known, such as a raised hand or a marked ballot: looked around the room and counted the votes in favor.

4Majority — a. The greater number or part; a number more than half of the total.

b. The amount by which the greater number of votes cast, as in an election, exceeds the total number of remaining votes.

c. The political party, group, or faction having the most power by virtue of its larger representation or electoral strength.

Supervisors, if you do not understand those two words, you need to step down, because you are not representing the will of the people who did vote and the people who did win by the majority of votes.

Because our supervisors are not representing the will of the people, and because they do not seem to be stepping down, they should be removed. One person cannot do this alone. It will take all of us who believe in the democratic process to force them out of office. This is about our right to vote!

Those of you Supervisors who voted to disregard the will of the voting public should either resign immediately or else put the flag back and continue the process of getting the measure back on the ballot for a state vote. I can live with how the majority votes, but apparently some of our supervisors cannot.

If we allow the majority of the supervisors to disregard our right to vote, we can only look in the mirror and blame ourselves for electing them.
