What happened to our democracy?

Apparently, if you want something done in Natchez, you get together and sign a petition, present it to our city/county “officials” and boom, its done. How many people have to sign a petition to change things in Natchez?

Maybe we need a petition to vote on things here instead of the city/county telling us how it will be done. Maybe we need a petition to complete the budget audit and maybe to balance the budget, perhaps a petition to clear up the Natchez Convention and Visitors Bureau fiasco?

No, what we really need is city/county government to work together in the best interest of the citizens of Adams County, instead of working on their own agenda(s).
