NATCHEZ — Services for Scott Anderson, 88, of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David McGuffee officiating.

Burial will follow at the Shelton Family Cemetery in Copiah County under the direction Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Anderson was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Wilkinson County, the son of William Daniel Anderson Jr. and Martha Susan Shelton Anderson.

He was employed by International Paper Company for 33 years and served in the U.S. Army as a member of the 108th Airborne during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harry Anderson and William T. Anderson.

Survivors include his wife, Inez May Anderson; three daughters, Marlis Rogers and husband, Fred, Carol Lee and husband, Mike, and Inette Lee and husband, Dannie; one sister, Carolyn Cox and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Darby Watson-Hill, Jerrett Watson and wife, deSha, Jordan LaCharite and husband, T.J., Chauncey Lee and Kim, Cameron Lee, Channing Lee and Heather, Conner Lee and wife, Jessica, and Frederick Rogers and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Tristan Hill, Ainslee and Addyson Watson, Tripp and Mary Wynn Rogers, Brett and Brooke Lee, Parker LaCharite, Alyssia, Blaze, Crews and Dakota Lee; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jerrett Watson, Chauncey Lee, Cameron Lee, Channing Lee, Conner Lee, Frederick Rogers, Tristan Hill and T.J. LaCharite.

The family extends a special thanks to his caregivers, Catherine Hunter, Rose York, Janice Green, Doris Lewis, Doris Hargrave and Lorraine Frelich; Deaconess Hospice nurses, Kris, Paige and Jackie; and his special home healthcare nurse, Sherry McClatchy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Magnolia Speech School, 733, N. Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, MS 39209.
