Paul and Marlene Southerland of Red Lick announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Morgan Southerland to Michael Hunter Cook, son of Kay Cook of Natchez and Mike and Kathy Cook of Ferriday.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and a graduate of Mississippi College in Clinton. She is employed by Concordia Parish Academy of Math, Science and Technology.

She is the granddaughter of Louise Southerland-Steen and Gene Steen, the late Howard Leslie Southerland of Red Lick and the late C.L. “Morrie” and Helen Guedon of Fayette.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Adams County Christian School and a graduate of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston. He is employed by Gootee Construction in Metairie, La.

He is the grandson of Louis “L.C.” and Aniece Smith, the late Nancy Smith of Natchez and the late Sam and Josephine Cook of Hebert, La.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Rosalie Mansion in Natchez.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

Family and friends are invited.
