UNION CHURCH — Services for John Earl Dickey, 67, of Fayette, who died Sunday, April 24, 2016, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hickory Block United Methodist Church in Union Church.04:28 JohnEDickey obitpic

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Dickey was born May 5, 1948, in Lincoln County, the son of Emanuel and Gynell R. Dickey.

He was a member of Jefferson Lodge No. 202 and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

Mr. Dickey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leola Doss Dickey; one brother, Emanuel Dickey Jr.; and one son, Paul Denzell Anderson.

Survivors include a loving daughter, Kimberly J. Sayles and husband, James, of Hattiesburg; a devoted son, Harry Anderson and wife, Lisa, of Cordova, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Alisa Anderson of Cordova and Kimbrile Sayles of Hattiesburg; four grandsons, Kyron Anderson, Jorian Anderson and Jaylen Anderson of Lawrenceville, Ga., and James Sayles III of Hattiesburg; sister-in-law, Patricia Franklin of Alsip, Ill.; brother-in-law, Evan Doss Jr. and wife, Emma, of Port Gibson; and one aunt who he adored very much, Arcola Weaver and husband, M.C., of Jackson; extended families, the Poe family of Fayette, the Jackson and the Williams families of Milwaukee, Wis.; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
