NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Olivia Smith Dean, 90, of Smithdale, formerly of Natchez, who died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Smithdale, will be 1 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dean was born March 26, 1926, in Quincy, Fla., the daughter of Isiah M. Smith and Virginia Pearl Johnson Smith.

She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star Vidalia Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack H. Dean Sr.; one daughter, Yvonne Dean; one great-grandson, Dean Bowlin; and two brothers, Felton and Ernest Smith.

Survivors include, one son, Jack Dean Jr. and wife, Susie, of Point Bank, Texas; one daughter, Patricia Bowlin and husband, Glenn, of Smithdale; five grandsons, Jack Dean lll, Vick Brown, Paul Dean, Jeff Bowlin and Travis Dean; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, David Fenn.
