RAYVILLE, La. — Memorial services for Jeffery Parnell thomasjeff-pic“Flicker” Thomas, 54, of Monroe, La., who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, in Dallas, will be at 2 p.m. Friday  at Brown-Holley Funeral Home Chapel in Rayville.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomas was born Dec. 30, 1961, in Natchez, the son of Denton L. “Flop” Thomas and Mary Evelyn Berret.
He spent much of his spare time enjoying life who was a respected craftsman who tinkered and restored items, especially in the area of metal works. An avid outdoorsman, he loved both hunting and fishing.
He was retired from TL James and was a welder by trade. Those who knew him, knew how he treasured his time with his dog, Gilligan.
He was a loving husband and father.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father; and maternal grandparents, J.P. and Oma Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Thomas of Rayville; one daughter, Jessica Snyder and husband, Mike; his mother; step-father, Robert E. Berret of Natchez; one brother, Carl Thomas and wife, Paula, of Paoli, Pa.; sisters, Cheryl Laughinghouse and husband, Terry, of Russellville, Ark., and Robin Berret of Houston; one niece, Sara Laughinghouse of Fayetteville, Ark.; five step children, Jerry Brunson and wife, Jerri, of Haughton, La., Paul Adams, Anna Lord and husband, Eddie, Nichole Johnson and husband, Josh, Tori Turbeville and Joseph Sylvestri, all of Rayville; 11 step-grandchildren all of Rayville and stepmother, Faleeta Thomas of Natchez.
