JONESVILLE — Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the Tuesday burglary of a Wildsville business in which a cash register and cigarettes were reportedly stolen.

Between closing time and approximately 6 a.m., three masked individuals allegedly entered Sonny’s Food Mart on U.S. 84 near Jonesville by breaking the window on the door, sheriff’s office spokesman Vernon Stevens said.

Stevens said the cash register only contained loose change.

Investigators are processing forensic evidence left by the suspects that may lead to the discovery of their identity, Stevens said, though he declined to identify specifically what forensic evidence was left at this time.

“If they are identified from it, then we can say,” he said.

Stevens said the case is still under investigation.
