FERRIDAY — Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators are searching for a Clayton man and woman for attempted second-degree murder in connection with a Wednesday night West Ferriday shooting.

CPSO Chief Deputy David Hedrick said Robert Earl O’Quinn, 28, last known residence 115 Margaret Circle, Clayton, and Fereedah Sabir, 21, last known residence 106 Miranda Drive, Clayton, were allegedly involved in an incident on Black Bayou Drive that left one man shot multiple times and another with injuries after being struck by a brick.

Hedrick said O’Quinn had reportedly been arguing with a man. When O’Quinn got back into a vehicle with Sabir, she reportedly tried to run over the man with whom O’Quinn had been arguing.

After Sabir allegedly attempted to run over the victim, O’Quinn reportedly stepped outside the car and shot the victim multiple times, Hedrick said.

Hedrick would not say the extent or location of the man’s injuries.

Sabir also reportedly exited the car and attempted to hit the victim with a brick, but missed and reportedly hit a witness in the face.

While fleeing in the vehicle, Sabir and O’Quinn reportedly struck another vehicle, Hedrick said. Deputies previously believed the vehicle Sabir and O’Quinn were driving was an older model white Mercury Marquis, but now believe the pair were driving a late 1970s white Ford Crown Victoria, Hedrick said.

The victims were transported to Riverland Medical Center and the person who was shot was airlifted later to another hospital.

Hedrick said the victim hit with a brick is stable and that he did not know the condition of the man shot.
