Natchez Garden Club announces tableaux court

NATCHEZ — The Natchez Garden Club has announced its 2017 royal court for the Historic Natchez Tableaux. The court will serve the Natchez Garden Club’s king and queen during their reign in the upcoming Spring Pilgrimage March 18 – April 18.

Lauren Abigail ‘Abby’ Massey

Abby is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Massey. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gill of Brookhaven, Ms. and Mr. Julian I. Massey Jr. of Natchez and the late Joyce Massey.

Abby is a 2015 Cathedral High School graduate and currently attends Louisiana State University majoring in Communication Disorders.

Abby is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority where she serves on the Shamrock Philanthropy. She is also a member of student government serving as president of the University College of Academic Counseling.

Abby enjoys singing, music, traveling running and cheering on the LSU Tigers.

Abby’s previous pageant participation includes Big Maypole, Polka, Picnic, Showboat and the Bride of Jefferson Davis in The Wedding.

Caitlyn Celeste Upton

Caitlyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Upton. She is the granddaughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Wayne Spencer of Natchez and Mrs. Betty Upton and the late Mr. Carl Upton of Vicksburg.

Caitlyn is a 2014 graduate of Cathedral High School and currently attends Mississippi College majoring in biology/pre-dental.

Caitlyn was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Co-Lin Community College, Co-Lin Community College Who’s Who, Co-Lin Colette co-captain 2015-1016, Phi Theta Kappa Alumni vice president of service at Mississippi College and Kissimee Social Tribe.

Caitlyn enjoys jewelry making, painting, choreographing dance routines and participating in her social tribe.

Caitlyn’s previous pageant participation includes Picnic, Big Maypole, Virginia Reel, Showboat-Can Can, Fanny Elssler and The Bride in The Wedding.

Julia Rachel Kuehnle

Julia Rachel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kuehnle, Jr. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Bruce M. Kuehnle and the late Julia Benoist Kuehnle and the late Mr. and Mrs. Noland Biglane all Natchez.

Julia Rachel is a 2015 Cathedral High School graduate and currently attends Mississippi State University where she is majoring in business administration with concentration in business law and a minor in pre-law.

She is a member of the MSU Speech and Debate Council, Delta Gamma fraternity and the student association’s public relations committee.

Julia Rachel enjoys traveling, hunting, dancing and music.

Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, page to King Steven Edwards and her cousin Queen Joanna Biglane McNeel, Big Maypole, Placard Bearer, The Wedding, Can Can, Soiree’, Soiree’ Sweetheart lead her senior year and 2016 Court to her cousins King Hunter Taylor and Queen Pepper Taylor.

Victoria Lee Bradford

Tori is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bradford. She is the granddaughter of Linda Warren of Denver and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Bradford of Olla, La.

Tori is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School and attends Northwestern State University majoring in radiologic sciences.

Tori is a member of the Purple Pizazz Pom Line and a member of the Alpha Lamda Delta Honor Society.

Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Picnic, Placard Bearer and Polka.

Ann Mills Ward 

Ann is the daughter of Judge and Mrs. George Ward. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Ward of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee Irvin, Sr. of Ferriday.

Ann is a 2015 graduate of Trinity Episcopal School and currently attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford majoring in integrated marketing communications.

She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority, a member of the social committee of Chi Omega, Chi Omega Make a Wish volunteer and Relay for Life volunteer.

Ann enjoys traveling and singing.

Her past pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Indian Girl, Ring Bearer in The Wedding, Bridesmaid in The Wedding, Can-Can Dancer and Polka.

Generals

Alexander Stephen Miller 

Alex is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Miller. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Prentiss Graves of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Miller of Waterproof.

Alex is a 2015 graduate of Trinity Episcopal School and currently attends the University of Mississippi majoring in accounting and managerial finance.

Alex was the Trinity Episcopal Class of 2015 Valedictorian and is an Eagle Scout. He is a member of the Chancellor’s Leadership Class, Sigma Pi Fraternity, Chancellor’s honor roll, UM Investment Club, Dean’s honor roll and UM Financier’s Club. Alex enjoys tennis, golf and hunting.

His previous pageant participation includes Big Maypole, Virginia Reel, Soiree’, Soiree’ Sweatheart and Polka.

William Joseph Foggo 

William is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Foggo of Brandon, Ms. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Ann Foggo-Eidt and Mr. Frances Joseph Eidt, Jr. and the late Mr. Henry James Foggo, Jr. of Natchez, Altha May Walker and the late Mr. Oliver Edwin Walker of Crystal Springs.

William currently attends St. Joseph Catholic School in Madison and will graduate in 2017.

He was accepted to three major universities so far but undecided at this time.

William is an Eagle Scout, a member of the Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew, French club, cross -country, track and St. Paul Catholic Church youth band.

William enjoys playing guitar, traveling, hiking, camping, shing, hunting, water sports and running.

He is a third generation Natchez Garden Club Tableaux participant.

Jacob Steven Smilo 

Jake is the son of Maria Smilo and the late Ron Smilo of Natchez. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Smilo of Lockvale, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Posa of Central City, Pa.

Jake is a graduate of Cathedral High School and currently attends the University of Mississippi.

Jake is an Eagle Scout.

His previous pageant participation includes Big Maypole.

Nicolas Pennington Webb 

Nic is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Webb of Natchez. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Pennington and Mr. and Mrs. Garnell Webb all of Natchez.

Nic is a 2016 Cathedral High School graduate currently attending the University of Mississippi.

He is a member of the 2016 pledge class of the Delta Xi Chapter of Kappa Sigma.

Nic loves outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, 4-wheeler riding, training his dog Roxie and hanging out with friends watching Ole Miss sports.

His previous pageant participation includes The Court as Flag Runner and General.

Christian Arden Stokes 

Christian is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stokes of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peder Omdal of Gonzales, La., and Mr. and Mrs. James Stokes of Natchez.

Christian is a 2015 graduate of Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge and currently attends LSU Honors College where he received TOPS and scholarships pursuing a degree in psychology.

Christian was a member of the state award winning Parkview Baptist middle and high school bands and a member of district honor bands. He also played on the Parkview Middle School football team.

Christian achieved honor roll multiple times both in middle school and high school. He was also a member of the Beta Club. He performed the role of Bela Zangler in the Parkview Baptist School 2015 spring musical “Crazy For You.”

Christian earned the rank of Eagle Scout and subsequently an Eagle Palm from Parkview Baptist Church Troop 205 in 2012. He has continued his involvement in scouting through the Order of the Arrow, where he served as various vice chiefs and as lodge chief, during which he hosted the regional gathering know as Conclave.

Christian attended the Order of the Arrow National Leadership Seminar and led several lodge leadership developement seminars. He was the Southern Region 1A vice chief serving the majority of Louisiana and part of Mississippi.

Christian is a member of First United Methodist Church in Gonzales.

He has been employed as a camp counselor and dining hall worker at Camp Salmen in Perkinston for 7 years, since 2010. He has been the dining hall director for the summer camp and other programs. He has been employed by B-Quick and is currently working at VooDoo BBQ.

Christian’s previous pageant participation includes the Under-the-Hill scene.

Estelle “Stella” Anderson Devereaux 

Stella is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Lee Devereaux. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lloyd Rinehart of Natchez, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Shull of Woodstock, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. Giles Michael Devereaux of Hattiesburg.

Stella currently attends St. Peter Catholic School in Covington, La., and is in the first grade.

Stella is a Daisy in Girl Scouts of America and a third year member of Ballet Apetrei in Mandeville, La.

She enjoys ballet, swimming, playing outside, drawing and singing.

Stella is a fourth-generation participant in the Tableaux including cousin Blair Chadwick who was page in 2008, mother Caroline Shull Devereaux who was Queen in 2006 and her cousin Walker Foggo who is serving as King this year.

Harrison Sim Callon

Harrison is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Callon. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred

Callon of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Cestia of New Iberia, La.

Harrison currently attends Cathedral School and is in kindergarten.

Harrison is a member of St. Mary Basilica.

He enjoys building legos, playing T-ball, soccer, reading and singing.

Harrison’s previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole.

Richard “Court” Alfred Edgin IV 

Court is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Edgin III of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Edgin, Jr. of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Donald H. Hopper, Jr. of Dunwoody, Ga.

Court was born in Natchez and recently moved with his family to Baton Rouge. He currently attends St. Jean Vianney School in Baton Rouge where he is in the Prek-4 program. Court enjoys learning about his letters and particularly loves to learn math.

Court is a big fan of the New Orleans Saints but the Carolina Panthers are his favorite team. Court also loves to play football and basketball. When he grows up he wants to work at Edgin Construction. Court’s favorite activity of all is visiting job sites with his father, Richard A. Edgin III, who served as NGC King in 2001.

Courts previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole.

Reene Parker Slover 

Reene is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Slover of Natchez. She has a younger sister, Rowe.

Reene is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paradise of Natchez, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Slover of Saint Simons Island, Ga., and the late Cherry Slover.

Reene currently attends Cathedral School and is in kindergarten.

Reene served as Mardi Gras page for the Krewe of Phoenix in 2014 and attends Jefferson Street United Methodist Church.

Reene loves to draw, write stories, ballet, gymnastics and music classes.

Reene’s previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole for the past three years.

Emma Reese Orr 

Emma is the daughter of John Orr and Anna Laura Smith Orr. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. John Moett and Carol P. Jones all of Natchez, Ms. Lauren Reeves of Roxie, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Orr of Tunica, La., and Ms. E.R. Bruce of Brookhaven.

Emma currently attends Cathedral School and is in kindergarten.

She is a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

Emma enjoys playing outside, riding her bike, swinging, gymnastics, reading books and playing with her baby dolls.

Emma’s past pageant participation includes Little Maypole and Showboat.
