Franklin County High School softball struck first, but it wasn’t enough as St. Patrick beat FCHS 10-1 to claim a 2-0 series sweep in the second round of the MHSAA Class 3A fast-pitch playoffs.

FCHS scored one run in the top of the first, but the lead would be short lived.

St. Patrick rallied for three runs in the bottom of the third and scored at least one run in every inning the rest of the way. The Fighting Irish also scored four runs in the fourth.

St. Patrick (20-3) won the first game of the series on Tuesday night, 13-1.
