NATCHEZ — Services for Dorothy Mae Corban Calcote, 91, who died Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Magee Hospital in Magee, will be 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Hunter officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Calcote was born on Nov. 3, 1925, in Natchez, the daughter of A.B. and Caluie Corban.

She married her high school sweetheart, James V. Calcote, March 23, 1942.

The greatest joys in her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved sewing and working in her yard, flower and vegetable gardens. She was known throughout the family for her home cooking. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Calcote was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years; one son, Jimmy Calcote; and three sisters, Helen Rush, Patty White and Peggy Calhoun.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Baldwin and husband, Mike, of Terry and Linda Brown and husband, Richard, of Florence; daughter-in-law, Felicia Calcote; one sister, Pat Evans; five grandchildren, Kim Hutton and husband, Ed, Connie Scarborough and husband, John, Chastity Graves and husband, Bill, Jennifer Swanner and husband, James, and Jason Calcote and wife, Marci; five great-grandchildren, Kelsey Morgan, Shelby Morgan, Heather Hutton, Landon Graves and Davis Swanner; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Calcote, Bruce Calcote, William Calcote, Mike Rush, Brent Calcote, and John Scarborough.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Calcote and Ellis Crooks.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Villa South Assisted Living, Bedford Care Nursing Facility, Dr. Charles Pruitt III and the staff of nurses and aids at Magee Hospital and Hospice Ministries for the compassion, care and love shown to our dear mother.
