NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man Thursday who was wanted in South Carolina for charges including kidnapping.

Michael Jeremich Easton, 33, 10 Davis Court, was arrested on a warrant from Columbia, S.C., for kidnapping, having sex with a minor and assault and battery in the first degree.

Maj. Jerry Brown said the sheriff’s office received information from the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office Easton could be in the Adams County. Brown said deputies were familiar with Easton, and knew he would often be located in Broadmoor.

Brown said deputies, including the sheriff’s office Special Operations Group, and the U.S. Marshals Service circulated in Broadmoor and located Easton in a vehicle on Davis Court.

Brown said Easton was arrested without incident.

Easton was in jail Saturday with no bond set, waiting to be extradited, Brown said.
