NATCHEZ — Two men were arrested Tuesday in connection with an alleged Sept. 7 robbery and assault of a 64-year-old pizza delivery driver.

Isaac Gatlin, 19, no address given, and Kordell Summers, 19, no address given, were each charged with robbery and simple assault, Adams County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Jerry Brown said. Gatlin was being held Tuesday on a $50,000 bond. No bond had been set for Summers Tuesday evening.

Deputies are looking for a third suspect in the incident, Brown said.

Deputies suspect Gatlin ordered a pizza on Sept. 7 to lure a pizza delivery driver to a vacant house on Brooklyn Drive, with the intention of robbing the driver, Brown said.

When the driver arrived at the house, Gatlin reportedly asked the driver for change for a $100 bill. Brown said when the driver said he did not have change, Summers and another man allegedly “jumped out of the bushes” and assaulted the driver.

The driver suffered cuts and bruises from the assault, but no major injuries, Brown said.

Brown said deputies were able to identify Gatlin after concerned citizens came forward with information.

No money was taken during the robbery, but three pizzas were stolen.
