Wedding: Candler and Reese

Heidi Michele Reese of Baton Rouge and Joseph Clinton Candler III of Baton Rouge were married Sept. 16, 2006, at 7 p.m. at Boudreaux’s in Baton Rouge, with Bishop Robert L. Cade officiating.

Parents of the couple are Ronnie Reese Sr. of Vidalia and Fannie Reese of Ferriday and Joseph Candler Jr. and Dr. Patricia Candler of Tallulah.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Xpert DJ Services of Baton Rouge.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Ronnie Reese Sr. She wore a white halter- top, allure taffeta gown and the bodice was outlined in crystals and rhinestones.

Fawn Reese of Baton Rouge served as maid of honor.

Aniya Reese of Ferriday was miniature bride.

Jordan Murray of Natchez was flower girl.

Patrick Candler of Baton Rouge served as best man.

Joshua Clark of Baton Rouge was ring bearer.

A reception was held at Boudreaux’s following the ceremony.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas and Orlando, Fla., the couple will live in Savannah, Ga.

Engagement: Loy and Savant

Dr. and Mrs. Robert L. Savant of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Carol Kay Savant, to Joshua Alan Loy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry A. Loy of Natchez.

She is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is currently attending Mississippi College School of Law and will receive her Juris Doctorate in May.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Travis Gore of Vidalia and Mrs. Phyllis Savant and the late F.B. Jack Savant.

The groom is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is employed by Adams County Christian School in Natchez. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles French of Mt. Carmel, Ill., and Mr. Harley Loy and the late Jane Loy of Natchez.

The wedding will be 6 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at The Burn.

Engagement: Woods and Wells

Mrs. Ellen Gaines and Mr. Paul Walls, both of Port Gibson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tomerka G. Wells, to Carlos H. Woods Sr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Washington and Mr. Hosea Thames, both of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Port Gibson High School. She is employed by Natchez Regional Medical Center.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Bertha Gaines and the late Pat Smith of Port Gibson and the late Tzen Walls and Bennie Walls of Port Gibson.

The groom is a graduate of Natchez High School. He is employed by Black Hawk Trucking in Natchez.
He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Ellen Woods of Natchez and the late Marsh and Rosie Thomas of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Port Gibson. A reception will follow at the Multipurpose Building in Port Gibson.

Family and friends are invited.

Engagement: Tuberville and Harrison

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Willis Harrison of Tunica, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Deborah Sue Harrison, to Allen Dale Tuberville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Austin Tuberville of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Tunica Institute of Learning and the University of Mississippi. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Registered Nurse at Lebonheur Children’s Medical Center.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Williams of Tunica and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Erskin Erwin of Tunica.

The groom is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez, and the University of Memphis and Fogelman College of Business. He is a Special Agent Criminal Investigator for the United States Department of the Treasury.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. Freeman Stanley Tuberville and Mrs. Lucille Tuberville of Oklahoma City, Okla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Uel Wayland Cummings of Hot Springs, Ark.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Tunica.
After a Caribbean cruise, the couple will reside in Memphis, Tenn.

Mr. and Mrs. James Howard Milton and Mr. Forrest Ralph Colebank Jr., all of Natchez, announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Doxey Colebank, to Matthew Hayles Sandel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Alexander Sandel of Natchez.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School, and is a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman. She is employed by Biloxi Public School District.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. Bill Tickell of Natchez and the late Shirley Rose Tickell of Natchez, and the late Ralph Owen Barnett of Pine Bluff, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Ralph Colebank Sr. of Natchez.
The groom is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez, and is a graduate of Copiah Lincoln Community College in Natchez. He is employed by Helmerich and Payne International Drilling Company of Tulsa, Okla.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lovitt of Natchez and Mr. Lewie Sandel of Natchez, and the late Mamie Elizabeth Sandel of Natchez.
The wedding will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Jefferson Street United Methodist Church in Natchez. A reception will follow at Natchez Community Center.
