Wedding: May and Curtis
Deanna Paige Curtis of Natchez and Jonathan Logan May of Shreveport were married Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 6 p.m. at Couch Chapel, First Methodist Church in Shreveport with Dr. Pat Day and Jessie Day officiating.
Parents of the couple are Wilmer and Marge Curtis of Natchez and Byron and Seva May of Shreveport.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Bethany Hejtmanek and Andrew Hejtmanek.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Wilmer E. Curtis. She wore an ivory strapless Jasmine gown made with organza and matte satin, embroidered in platinum with Swarovski crystal beading. The veil was handmade using chiffon fabric and lace and pearl border.
Darlene Walswort of Vidalia served as matron of honor. Maid of honor was Lana Malone of Monroe and Katherine May of Jackson. They wore sage strapless A-line gowns with ivory trim.
Lauren Carey of Shreveport was flower girl.
Blake May of Jackson served as best man. Groomsmen were Drew Campbell of Austin, Texas and Andrew Bryant of Shreveport.
Ushers were Tommy leBarbera, Chris Snell and Chad Lindsey, all of Shreveport.
Riley Cupit of Vidalia and John Campbell of Austin, Texas were ring bearers.
A reception was held at Silver Lake Ballroom following the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Ochas Rios, Jamaica the couple will live in Shreveport.
Engagement: Smith and Christopher
John and Mary Christopher of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Christopher, to Derek Smith, son of Karen Smith of Natchez
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School, a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez and Pearl River College in Hattiesburg. She is employed by Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.
She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Christopher and the late John W. Christopher Sr. of Cantonment, Fla. and Norma Culverson and the late Dewey Hall of Pensacola, Fla .
The groom is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Pearl River Community College in Hattiesburg. He is employed by Allbritton Chainsaw in Hattiesburg.
He is the grandson of Clinton and Elizabeth Smith of Natchez.
The wedding will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at the gazebo in Natchez. A reception will follow at The Main Street Market Place.

Wedding: Robinette and Walker
Pamela Walker of Schlater and Charles Robinette of Clarksdale were married Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 6 p.m. at Greenwood Garden Club, in Greenwood, with the Rev. Higdon Herrington officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Walker of Schlater and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robinette Jr. of Natchez.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Grace Halsey.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Billy Walker. She wore a white satin A-line halter with V-neck beaded lace bodice by Michaelangelo.
Mrs. Stephenie Corley of Itta Bena served as matron of honor and Miss Emily Griffin of Starkville was maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Miss Lacey Robinette of Natchez, Mrs. Rebekah Dorgan and Miss Sarah Johnson, both of Hattiesburg. They wore tangerine satin floor length B2 dresses by Jasmine.
Audrey and Avery Garrett of Hattiesburg were flower girls.
Joey Garret of Hattiesburg served as best man. Groomsmen were Nate Wellborn of Natchez, Kiley Barnes of Washington, D.C., Richard Abbott of Starkville and Lanier Nalley of Manhattan, Kan.
Ushers were Conor Gibson of Natchez and Peter Powell of Flora.
A reception was held at Greenwood Garden Club following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Marci Russum, Miss Julie Green, Mrs. Samantha Gonzalez, Mrs. Noelle Herring, Miss Hannah Durkin and Miss Mae Durkin. After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will live in Clarksdale.
Wedding: Hiller and Conner
Denise Britton Conner and David Johnson Hiller, of Dallas, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church, in Natchez, with Dr. John Larson officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ellis Conner Jr. of Alpharetta, Ga., and Dr. and Mrs. Laurence Fox Hiller of Shreveport.
Grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ellis Conner of Mobile, Ala., formerly of Natchez, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Oliver of Clinton and Dr. and Mrs. Durell Alpheus Hiller II of Shreveport and Mrs. Elbert Johnson Ingram and the late Mr. Elbert Johnson Ingram of Martinville, Va.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jeanie Lanneau and Anna Grace Kimbrough.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Mr. Richard Ellis Conner Jr. She wore an ivory satin strapless gown designed by Monique Lhuillier. Her antique lace veil was originally worn in 1848 and has been worn by four generations of Britton cousins, including her grandmother and great-grandmother.
Courtney Conner, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bride’s attendants were Laura Hiller Meese of Boston, Catherine Hiller of Shreveport, Martha Saulsbury and Ashleigh Harb, both of Nashville, Tenn., Anne Schaufele of Dallas, and Whitney Smith of Charlotte, N.C.
Grace Stowers, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.
Michael Hiller, brother of the groom, served as best man.
The groom’s attendants were Grant Nuckolls and Bradley Freyer, both of Shreveport, Christopher Sale of Baton Rouge, Tyler Orlowski of Portland, Ore., Sean Lucas of New York and Brendan Dove of Dallas.
Cooper Clark, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.
A reception was held at Green Leaves, the home of her family since 1849, with musical entertainment provided by The Harmon Drew Super Group.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will live in Shreveport.

Ms. Doris Rice of Natchez announce the engagement of her daughter, Kidada Rice, to Stephen Larry, son of Mrs. Genola Larry and the late Mr. Willie Larry of Florence. The bride-to-be is also the daughter of Thomas Coleman of Kansas City, Mo.
She is a graduate of Natchez High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Tougaloo College in Tougaloo and her MBA from Millsaps College in Jackson. She is employed by Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. in Memphis, Tenn.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marie Rice and the late Mr. Charlie Rice of Natchez and the late Mr. Saul Coleman and Ms. Donna Coleman of Kansas City.
The groom is a graduate of Lanier High School in Jackson, and a graduate of Tougaloo College in Tougaloo. He is currently in his senior year of Dental School at Meharry College in Nashville, Tenn.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Larry and the late Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Kitchens.
The wedding will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Milford Baptist Church in Natchez. A reception will follow at Natchez Shriners Club.

Parents of the couple are O. J. and Wanda Hunt of Opelousas and Deanie Swain of Natchez and Eddie and Judy Brown of Natchez.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Eddie Brown.

A reception was held at the bride’s parents’ home in Natchez following the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Baton Rouge, the couple will live in Deville, La.
