Musician continues 14-year love of creating music

Published Tuesday, December 18, 2007

NATCHEZ — For homegrown musician Micky Abston — or Mic Money Supreme as some may know him — music is a way of life.

From writing and producing to going toe-to-toe with the microphone himself, Abston is 14 years down the road of musiciandom and has no plans on soon quitting.

“I do music all day long, not just when I’m actually in the studio,” Abston said.

A self-taught pianist, Abston works with a Korg Triton Workstation keyboard in the solitude of a room in his home or the “lab” as he likes to refer to it.

On any given day or night Abston can be found sitting in his composer’s cockpit surrounded by a keyboard, computer, a BR900 recording studio device and other digital music producing tools that help him do what he does.

Writing and rapping since 1992 and producing since 2004 Abston sells beats or to artist in the area and started his own production company Supa Natural Flowz in 2006.
