I wouldn't say he "ruled" it, but he was liked by many. Not me, though! I respected him and cried when he finally won Daytona 500. Richard Petty won just as many cups as Earnhardt did. Seven each. I quit watching when I got divorced. It's been about 6 or 7 years.

That is true. Sr just had more fans. Alot of NASCAR fans just pulled away when he died. That is what I meant. He was probably the one of the greatest drivers ever.

Doesn't he, though?! That's funny! I was at Talladega once sitting in the tri-oval. We are waiting for the cars to come in from the back stretch and no cars. It seems like it takes forever. All of a sudden, they start pulling into pit road (the entrance was right in front of us) and they are all damaged. This goes on and on, but no Gordon or Martin. Finally, they bring Martin's car around on a wrecker. A few minutes later they bring Gordon's around on one and it was smashed to pieces. I had my Grandmother with me (who is a Gordon fan). The crowd started cheering and she sat down and said, "The devil is going to get y'all for that!". Come to find out, Gordon had caused the 22 car pile up!

Hey buttercup.... I think you must get online different times than we do now... lol Anyway, I only know how to cook fresh green beens, (I am a country gal) but if I had to make enough for that many people, and you use canned ones, I would put them in a crock pot with some salt pork or bacon and let them cook overnight on low... they will pass pretty much like home cooked. I don't cook much, either. I like the comment about it being Grandma's job to do the dressing, though! I've never tried to cook it myself. I just know I'm looking forward to eating turkey and dressing!!! (That someone else cooks!)

Girls, just wait until you get to be grandma's age and you have to do the cooking! Then you will realize how hard it was on her. Better yet, you try to do it one holiday by yourself and then you will TRULY understand how difficult it is on her at her age. I take my mom out to eat(can't cook for her):-) LOL! I DO cook EVERY holiday... I am the only one who has big gardens, so I am expected to cook all the vegetables and bring them in 2 vehicles....... I plant potatoes, peas, sweet potatoes, greens, tomatoes, corn, okra, squash etc..... so now.......

Good for you, truth! I always do the desserts, but I have always helped Grandma and Mom with the cooking. And I appreciate it more than they know. I remind them both each year how much I enjoy not only the food, but the quality time as well. Truth, can't they come to your house instead of you carrying the food somewhere else?

I wanna come to yur house, truthhurts! I'll help you cook! The "fresh" veggies you get at the grocery store are half the time rotten and they stink. The frozen veggies at the Markets are always freezer burnt. I'm not even going to think about canned crap. I've tried to get my man to till up me an area, but he claims the dogs will keep it tore up. I said, "A chicken wire fence", and he comes up with anothr excuse! I'm tired of eating veggies that taste like what the inside of the Vidalia Market smells like.

It used to be across from the mall but it is on 61 South now across from Berry's Seafood. I'm not sure how much they are. I've never bought them personally. They put up all kinds of fruits and vegetables, though.

I've eaten there twice in 15 years. They charge a lot for all that saturated (or is it unsaturated) fat. I really enjoyed it back this spring, the last time I went. They had killer quail and so much to eat, I left rolling out. I guess it was so good because I wasn't paying!!!!!!

Why is food better when someone else hosts it? Good question. I find that I taste too much before serving. Then when I eat it, I am still in the "it's missing something" mode and I don't enjoy it. My man cooks all the time, so I don't suffer too bad. I study too much to have a normal home life, which explains why I don't talk much on this forum. If I could, I'd chat all day long. Where's rocket going?

I'm not sure where he's going. That makes sense about the tasting thing. I'm one that doesn't taste anything while I'm cooking. That might be bad! But, by the time it's ready, I'm so tired of smelling it that I don't want it. It would be nice if I cooked for a living, then I wouldn't ever be hungry! Might not be so nice for the pooe people having to eat it, though!

how are you adjusting?... I don't care for winter... I can't get warm and the time change sucks!!! not to mention all the sickness....and I can't go outside like I love to do, cause I refuse to freeze!! aqua dots where recalled yesterday.. the boyfriend and i were watching it on fox news.. (HUGE FAN OF FOX BY THE WAY) any way these lil 'balls' or whatever they are, are sprayed with a chemical linked to the date rape drug and a child has almost died from it.. so they are doing this HUGE RECALL YESTERDAY (AQUA-DOTS ARE ON THE TOP TWELVE TOYS ON LIST TO BUY FOR CHILDREN THIS CHRISTMAS) OR SOO THEY SAID... ANYWAY!! we watched that toy recall on the tv yesterday how it almost killed a child then one hour later we were in wal mart and BAM!! THEY HAD THEM UP EVERY WHERE!! 'AQUA-DOTS TOP TWELVE TOY FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR'!!!
haha!! so of course my noisy a** had to ask them why did walmart still have them on the self... they told me i must be confused with some other toy! that it was the top 12!! hahaa!! so i got out my phone (i upgraded its got the web on it) typed in fox news.com and WHAM!! who didn't know what they was talking about!! they was running around like a bunch of chickens jerking toys off the self and warning people over the speaker if they have them in the buggy they will not sell it to them!! hahaha!! i laughed my ass off! haha!

That's what we were discussing earlier. Someone was pretty ugly to her the other night and i'm guessing she's letting things settle down for a bit.

all i know is thank goodness i'm not getting no threating emails etc.. i would've thrown my pc out the window being soo mad at the fact i couldn't get my hands on whoever was sending them!! ha!! i seriously need to work on the temper thing!! :( just like a few mins. ago watching the news once again!!! GRR!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean. I have a hard time holding my temper, too. Especially when I feel threatened. It got ugly. First, she was threatened in the comments one night be a guy. He was claiming to be watching her and said he knew where she lived and was coming over. If that wasn't bad enough, she started getting e-mails threatening her, too from someone different. Then, when she posted something about it, someone from TCU got ugly with her on the comments. The whole thing was bad. We all changed our names (except her) after the threats from that one guy that night. There's just no sense in that. People should be allowed to voice their opinion without fearing for their life!

OUR GREAT PRESIDENT OF THE USA IS NOW WANTING TO SEND 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS TO MEXICO!! FOR NEW HELICOPTERS AND SURVILLANCE, WEAPONS AND TO TRAIN THEIR MILTARY!! WHAT IS BUSH SMOKING??? the man also said that we (the USA) has tried once before to help assit the MEXICAN PEOPLE only for the 'ZETA'S' TO GET ALL THE INFO POSSIBLE AND TURN IT AROUND ON US!!

AGAIN WHAT IS BUSH SMOKING?? THERE IS ALSO 51 AMERICAN CITIZENS MISSING IN MEXICO AND MEXICO HAS OR REFUSED TO GIVE ANY INFO ON ANY OF THE 51 AMERICANS THAT HAVE CAME MISSING!! BUT BUSH WANTS TO GIVE THEM MONEY!!

like a sheriff said on this show why not give the 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS TO approve the EQUIPMENT AND HIRE MORE OFFICALS TO GAURD THE BORDERS FROM ALL THE DRUG TRAFFICING AND ILLEGAL IMPORTS!!!

I don't watch it every week, but I do watch it. It is good. That's how I got into Grey's. It's kind of the same way - serious at times and hilarious at times.

One Tree Hill is on Wednesdays at 8:00 on CW. I haven't seen a new episode yet. I don't think it's started (unless they changed the time or day again). I love that show!

No, I don't care for country music much. I've always thought he was cute, though. I still think Tim McGraw is too sexy. I've never watched Monk. I watch "What Not to Wear" on Friday nights. And that's the night I clean my house! How sad is that???
