NATCHEZ — The Cathedral Green Wave was looking to end its season on a positive note with back-to-back wins as it hosted the winless West Lincoln Bears Friday night at D’Evereaux Stadium.

Seven different players for Cathedral scored as the Green Wave jumped out to a 30-0 halftime lead and rolled to a 42-7 win over the Bears in the Region 4-1A finale for both teams.

“I was glad to see us finish on a good note. We won three of our last four games,” Cathedral head coach Craig Beesley said. “I was proud of our seniors for keeping their heads up when we struggled early in the season.”
