Trinity Saints roll past WCCA

WOODVILLE — The Trinity Saints got a strong pitching performance from eighth-grader Jake Brumfield to get past WCCA 8-3 Friday night.

Brumfield pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits.

The young pitcher was helped out with some power from the Trinity lineup, led by Clint Easom’s fourth home run of the year and third in the last two games. Easom also doubled and went 4-for-4 in the game.

Parker Brumfield added two doubles of his own for the Saints while Matthew Freeman was 2-for-4.

WCCA was led by Lane McCarty, who was 3-for-4.
