Blazing a blues trail

NATCHEZ — The Natchez Bluff Blues Festival kicked off Friday night with a New Orleans style funeral procession on Main Street followed by the unveiling of the Rhythm Night Club fire historical marker. The Natchez Association for the Preservation of African-American Culture and the blues fest joined forces this year to promote their annual events. Friday night's parade was the first of it's kind. The festival will continue today at the Rosalie Bicentennial Gardens and at downtown clubs.

I just think he should have had a banner on that said "NATCHEZ" not "NEW ORLEANS". But it was great fun...I heard it.

I wish I could have seen that funeral procession. They have always been of great interest to me. Everytime I go to New Orleans, I always miss seeing one. One day...

sayitloud is right about the banner. I'm not going to be able to make it to the bluff today for the first time in several years. I really don't care to see Maggie Brown and the other yokels. Kenny Neal and his family are good but I've seen them several times.
How did Bubby "bush" do yesterday in Vidalia. Perhaps next year the ND will get B. B. Ding, Fuddy Guy, Dobert Cray, and some name people.
Word got around about the rednecks selling the rebel flags and kkk stuff a couple years ago. I heard talk some ChiTown blues guys wouldn't think about coming here because of it. Can't blame them.
We need to get some $$$$ together so we can get talent.
