Snow possible for Adams County
Published Wednesday, December 10, 2008
As residents work to clean up from Tuesday’s storm another round of weather is still to come.
The National Weather Service’s meteorologist Latrice Maxie said there’s a high probability the Natchez area will get snow tonight.
“Probably a light dusting,” Maxie said.
That snow won’t get here until after midnight and likely won’t be here long.
“It might be just enough to settle on cars and roofs,” she said.
But before the snow comes, city officials will be concentrating on the clean up from Tuesday’s storm.
Mayor Jake Middleton said the city has made a local disaster proclamation as a result of Tuesday’s storm.
Middleton said the proclamation is the first step to take should the city later be made eligible for state aid related to storm clean up.

Snow hardly ever sticks here. We need ground temps below freezing for any to stick for any length of time and the ground is way to warm for that. It will will look nice falling from the sky. Excites the kids.

It's probably as close as we will get to a white Christmas here in Natchez. I love snow since I arrived during one of the rare snows that Natchez gets.

I heard on the Weather Channel that we could expect snow accumulations of 3-5 inches! That was roughly an hour ago when the red alert came on the bottom of the screen for our local weather. Sounds like it may stick to something, huh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't accumulate mean that it will stick????

With the wind chill at play, it will more than likely stick to all bridges and overpasses. Be careful out there.
It is too wet and soggy to get out and play in this time, but we will probably get a good one to play in before spring. LOL
