Man found dead in his Adams County house

Published Wednesday, February 6, 2008

NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was found dead in his house Tuesday, reportedly from an accidental fall, Sheriff Ronny Brown said.

Deputies responded to an emergency call to find Edward Thomas Lusk Jr., 54, on the floor with his head up against the couch. Lusk was in his Second Street house.

Lusk’s sister, Theresa Vinson found him when she returned home from work.

Lusk was dead when authorities arrived.

Brown said he did not suspect foul play, but that a routine investigation would be conducted.

aren't couches soft? hmm?? my prays are with the family...

The cushions are, but sometimes couches have wooden frames. If you fell and hit the arm of any couch hard enough you might hit the wood underneath the padding.

MMMMM it would take more detail for me to believe this was an accident.

Sometimes don’t you just wish you could eat your words? The Democrat should have a delete button so that users can go back and delete their own comments. I know I would use it on a few of mine. And what about in life, not on a comment section? I have to wonder…what words have I used? Too bad life doesn’t come with a remote control for our lives so that we can rewind back to that exact moment we said or did such and such and change it to what should have been done or said. God forgive me any hurt or harm I’ve caused with my words and/or actions.

I find it interesting that the man in this article and the lawyer, in the other article who died while visiting the jail, are very close in age (54/55)...both just died all of a sudden...unforeseen. I have to wonder what time Thomas passed away; if it was also 3 p.m. (?) When I read these two articles last night, or very early this a.m., I thought about bible verses in Matthew 24...two will be working in the field; one will be taken and one left.

Anyways, with all the unexpected deaths in Natchez over the last year...we must realize that each of us will certainly have to face death. We must realize our sins and ask forgiveness while we still have the time--in order to be ready to face our Lord when he comes. He won't send out any advance notice of a time for us to expect his coming...he is just going to show up unexpected. We must humbly cleanse and dress ourselves in love and forgiveness, for I have read that these are his favorite colors.

Remember words are very powerful, even magical. They can be used for good or to conjure up evil; to save, or to destroy. Your words could come back to bite you...

Thanks for your prayers and support for our family. Tommy has had health issues and had recently fallen, but would not go to the doctor. Unfortunately it happened when family members were not there. He will be sadly missed by all of us, family and friends.

Don't you people have jobs! I am not directing this to the folks that give there condolences to Tommy and his family, but to these fake, CSI wannabe idiots that think just because someone dies OH I KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED AN WHY AND IF YOU LOOK AT THIS MARK, give me a break. Quit watching CSI and go and get a job and get off of the computer. Mrs Terry I am very sorry to hear about Tommy. Didn't know him very well, but met him on a couple of occasions. My Condolences go out to your family. RIP TOMMY. If you people don't mind please let the rest of these post be for giving condolences and prayers.

I just saw Teri on Monday and asked about her family. She has already had a hard row to hoe in life, so please don't read anymore into this than it is an unfortunate accident. My prayers are with you and your family my friend.

I liked your last sentence so much I have to make sure every single person understands what you wrote.

Your words could come back to bite you...

But I like mine even better.

Your words WILL come back to bite you...

I just read about this sad event today in the online Democrat. My prayers and condolences to the Lusk and Chalmers families. I knew Tommy from high school days and was married to his cousin. He was a good guy; very intelligent. He is in a much better place now...

Teri, I went to school with you & I also remember so well how every Sunday your Mother would walk you and all your siblings down Canal St. to church. I remember my Mama telling me she wished I was as quiet in church as the Lusk children.
My deepest sympthy goes to you and your family.

((buttercup26)) this family has had some hard blows in life. Their Mother died when they were small & comments like you trying to solve a tv murder series are so cold hearted. If you read about a family who has lost a loved one & you don't know them don't write any comments at all because you always stick your foot in your mouth. You are not as smart as you seem to think you are!!!!
