My brother-in-law was handicapped and if anyone had ever don't something to him I'm afraid of what the family would have done. Most people handicapped physically & mentally I have known are very trusting and so sweet.
This scumball should be given the maxium sentence according to to the law. If he's not he will get out & countinue until the next victim will not be as lucky. We as healthy humans are suppose to protect the mentally & physically unabled citizens. I guarantee once the inmates find out what he's done he will be wishing he had never harmed a handicapped person.

This is a great start for our community to start protecting our less fortunate citizens.

now why is his bond set so much higher than the other guys. yeah the child is handicapped but the other guy did it in front of many other children. I think there should be a set standard of 500,000 bond for things like this.

Prisoners LOVE child molestors and abusers of the elderly .

Sure there are many women that are very cruel look at Susan Smith and the woman that drowned her five babies in the tub because she was afraid of her husbands religious beliefs. Look at the Leferve woman & the that one thay took her student all the way to Mexico. Also look at the loved sick astronaunt, luckily she was caught or that would have been a tragic ending or worse yet it could have happening while in orbit. Yes I'm saying women are as capable as men. The scariest thoughts are the ones that have never been caught. That's is why we should talk to our children & give them warning signs to watch for both from men and women.

I'm not saying men are worse than women. What I'm saying is it is mostly men that kidnap these small children the torture, rape, kill & then throw their little precious bodies away like a pieces of trash then go their merry way like nothing ever happened.

So yes it is a two way thing but I stand firm in my belief that more men are to balme than women.

I have no beef with anyone here, and agree that this story is so horrible it's hard to even think about. For the record, I have a handicapped person in my immediate family, so it hits a little closer to home for me possibly than to the majority of posters.

My point of posting here is this...how do our posts get so completely out of control sometimes? I have actually "picked on notfromnatchez in the past, but this time, I have to defend him. He really didn't say anything to terrible, and before you know it, there's a full-fledged war going on against him. I have to give him credit for not firing back. He kept his cool, somewhat.

The thing of it is, I feel quite sure that notfromnatchez and DixieMama both agree that the story is a sad and horrible one. Why don't we leave it to that, and save our arguments for a more controversial story?

Please teach your children to respect the handicapped, just a simple hello can make the biggest difference in the lives! Not only teach your children, teach yourselves to be kind to them. Remember they are God's very special children that will someday be in heaven with him!

Well, I had intended my last post to be my one and only one this story, but I must add one more.

I have to say that Dixiemama's last sentences were beautiful and very heartfelt, as were yours, csguidry.

I am as guilty as anyone of letting my emotions interact with my keystrokes sometimes. What I TRY (sometimes unsuccessfully) to do when I read a comment that strikes me to the bone is to click off that story and go to something else. If I come back later and still feel "riled up", I then post my comment. It's a little like that old trick of counting to 10 when you're angry. Sounds kinda simple and stupid, but it works for me a lot of the time.

After all the mud slinging we have fianlly agreed we are all wrong & have come to the conclusion that we need to protect our children, elderly & less fortunate handicapped.
I guess this has been a bad day for everyone including myself.

Just when I thought it had ended it's started all over.
Prostitution is bad addiction just like gambling, smoking, drinking, drugs & basically running around on your spouse. Think of all the innocent children that have done without food and clothing because of these addictions. I'm not mouthing off I know because my Daddy did them all. Thouigh he never did drugs because they were's as available back then. What is the purpose of marriage if a man or woman is not going to be faithful & take on the responsibility of raising their children like it was intended?
I'm lucky not to be going through all of this now but I see it happening everywhere & it's heartbreaking when children are involved & suffering at the hands of their no good parents.
When I was little I would hear talk about Nellie Jackson and wonder why she wasn't closed down but now I know. I would her my grandma talk about how the man cut the hookers throat and think of all the things that went on that never were reported. Now Nellie's is a national landmark. That's alot to be proud of LOL
