Wilkinson candidates to examine ballots

Published Wednesday, July 2, 2008

WOODVILLE — The Wilkinson County special primary may see its end today after candidates examine ballot boxes and other materials connected with the election.

Two candidates, Jesse Stewart and Kirk Smith, filed requests to examine the boxes, and the examination was set for 10 a.m. today, but was delayed because of procedural questions, sources at the Wilkinson County courthouse said.

After votes were certified June 25, Smith trailed incumbent District Two Supervisor Richard Holllins by 29 votes.

Stewart lost his challenge to incumbent Sheriff Reginald “Pip” Jackson by 63 votes.

WHAT DO THEY WANT....EVERYTHING HE WANTED TO HAPPEN,,,HE GOT.....AND STILL LOST OUT.
LOST OUT..IF BY ONE /////////////THEY LOST.

I understand that it isn't necessary to be a racist in every single topic here! Calling people names like "Honky" is just keeping our races divided! What kind if sense does that make?

Can't anyone get their points across without all the name calling and racist remarks???

Good Grief back at ya!!!!

Take the caps lock off and post your comments like adults!!!

THANK U 18WHEELER

I SEE I HAVE SOMEONE WHO HAS MY BACK

Sarge,

Why are you bringing up the word racism. It is NOT racism. It is just how I see it. I live in this county you don't. I have seen the KKK, and all the other red necks of the county. I have seen the oreos(blacks) wanna be whites.
Wilkinson County is nothing but a racist county, you may not see it because you are not from here. Trependals, ripps off black people daily he raises the pries on food daily, That is why I shop at wal mart. Texaco, why are all the black people either cooking or cleaning and are accused of stealing everytime. Woodville Republican, why are the white people in color and the black in black and white. Why digrace the black people and uplift the whites when they have done much more wrong then we have.

Wilkinson County is just a racist town, and believe that it will never change. That why we have to keep the fair man in office. And that is JAckson
