TWENTY YEARS AGO — Darius Bowser hits a two-run home run and Russ Blacwell has a three-run homer as the Natchez Dixie Youth 13-14 All-Stars defeat Lawrence County 23-9 at the district tournament.

TEN YEARS AGO — Ken Tilghman, Phil Hale, Jerry Lambuth and Johnny Christian combine to shoot a 56 at Belwood Country Club to qualify for the sectional tournament of the Oldsmobile Scramble.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Matt Barnes gives up just two hits and strikes out eight in five innings and Luke Brumfield has a two-run double as Natchez’s 13-year-old Dixie Boys All-Stars defeat Summit 7-1 at the district tournament.
