Qualifying continues for parish races

VIDALIA — Qualifying for the Oct. 4 primary election for Concordia Parish’s district judges, district attorney, justices of the peace and constables continued Thursday.
Qualifying will conclude today at the Concordia Parish Clerk of Court’s Office at 4001 Carter St., Suite 5, in Vidalia.
Those who have qualified include:
4For Seventh Judicial District Court, division A: Democrat John Reeves, of Jonesville.
4For Seventh Judicial District Court, division B: Democrat Leo Boothe, of Ferriday.
4For Seventh Judicial District Court district attorney: “Brad” Burget, of Vidalia, Andy Magoun, of Monterey, and Ronnie McMillin, of Vidalia.
All three candidates are running as Democrats.
4For justice of the peace, district 1: Democrat Justin L. Conner, of Ferriday.
4For justice of the peace, district 2: Democrat Frank Duson, of Vidalia.
4For justice of the peace, district 3: Republican Craig L. Guillory, of Vidalia, Democrat Juanita G. Irvin, of Vidalia, and Republican Russell Wagoner, of Vidalia.
4For justice of the peace, district 4: Democrat Jerry Stallings, of Ferriday.
4For justice of the peace, district 5A: Democrat Charles E. “Charlie” White, of Ferriday.
4For justice of the peace, district 5B: Democrat Levear Book, of Monterey.
4For constable, district 1: Democrat Rosa W. Elaine, of Ferriday, and Republican “Charlie” Quimby, of Ferriday.
4For constable, district 2: Democrat Rickey Hollins, of Vidalia.
4For constable, district 3: Democrat Earl Cotton, of Vidalia, and Republican Susan Rabb, of Vidalia.
4For constable, district 4: Democrat Ferris “Bull” Durham, of Ridgecrest, and Democrat George Sewell, of Vidalia.
4For constable, district 5A: Republican John H. Cowan, of Ferriday.
4For constable, district 5B: Democrat Jerry Lipsey, of Monterey.

The people of Concordia Parish needs to know that Andy Magoun is not part of the clan at the courthouse and remember he stood beside Glenn Lipsey for what was right. If you are wanting a change in the District Attorney's office remember Andy Magoun is for what is right. Go Andy Go!
