Fugitive with drug charges arrested

Published Saturday, July 19, 2008

NATCHEZ — Among deep dish pizzas and salad bars at a local Pizza Hut a fugitive has lurked for weeks.

Calvin Williams, 45, 1305 LaFayette St., Natchez, was arrested on Thursday by the Metro Narcotics Unit.

“The United States Marshal Service works closely with the Metro Narcotics Unit, and if they have any suspected people in the area that they have warrants on, they e-mail (us) the warrants,” Metro Narcotics Unit Cmdr. Cliff Cox said.

Cox said the unit received the e-mail and began their investigation and discovered he worked at Pizza Hut.

The warrant was a felony drug charge from Harrison County.

Williams is being held at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office until he is extradited.

“The marshals will come and pick him up and take him back to the jurisdiction that he’s wanted out of,” Cox said.

Well it looks like he was making a honest living, Pizza Hut is not the greatest place of employment, but at least he wasn't caught making a transaction.
Wasn't the justice supposed to rehabilitate folks, if so why aren't they giving these felons a chance.

Wonder what his charge was....it doesn't take much to have a felony charge these days.

Oldschool, you sound angry, I was just making a point that at LEAST HE WAS NOT MAKING A TRANSACTION OK, NOT THAT HE DOESN'T NEED TO FACE WHATEVER CRIMINAL CHARGES HE HAS.
And better yet prison is supposed to rehabiliate these folks isn't it.

No I am not angry! lol you guys kill me on here. It is like you have several personalities and when somebody makes a comment about your opinion EVERYBODY is quick to say or try to diagnosis the other person. EXP: angry, depressed, mental, cruel, the list goes on and on..... I was Just stating a fact! but in a funny way. When I make a comment it is usually straight and to the point and not beat around the bush. These are just my feelings and I am not saying I am right but Just MY thoughts OK!!
