Woodville — Corrections Corporation of America and Wilkinson County Correctional Facility had its second quarter community relations meeting.
On the guest list were local business owners, community leaders, board members, elected officials, supporting staff members, educators, Wilkinson County’s superintendent of Education, and members of the Wilkinson County Industrial Board.
The meeting’s emphasis was a highlight of the education department.
The students presented compelling expressions of positive reception, inspirational guidance, and irrefutable productive measures accomplished under the direction of Wilkinson County Correctional Facility’s instructors.
The guests were entertained with door prizes crafted and grown by the students enrolled in Vocational Programs offered at the facility.
WCCF hosts four community advisory meetings per year with the participation from community leaders.
“It is always our pleasure to host and entertain our community. These meetings also give us the chance to acknowledge the staff members and their accomplishments as well as informing the community of latest developments in corrections,” Warden Jacquelyn Banks said.
Lunch was catered by Canteen Food Services, and an eye-catching carved fruit display with a delicious fruit dip prepared by Ella Scott.
