TWENTY YEARS AGO — North Natchez’s boys track team finishes second at the Class 4A State Track Meet thanks to first-place finishes by Alfred Hartwell (discus), Ron Watts (triple jump) and Corey Gordon (3200 meters).

TEN YEARS AGO — Brooks Bryan hits a two-run triple in the first inning and Brad Freeman belts a three-run home run in the third as Mississippi State defeats LSU 7-5 to eliminate the Tigers from the SEC Tournament.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Former ACCS standout Christopher Rayborn is 9-2 with a team-leading 1.86 ERA for Meridian Community College, which is two wins away from playing in the National Junior College World Series.
