NATCHEZ — Natchez High had planned to have its annual Blue and Gold Spring Football Game at Tom F. Williams Memorial Stadium Thursday night.

However, the threat of rain changed those plans.

Natchez High coach Lance Reed decided to postpone the game to Friday after the storms that blew in the area Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

By the scheduled kickoff time of 6 p.m., the field was soft but dry enough to play on and there were only a few clouds in the sky.

However, Reed said he was afraid it would rain much of the day so the school went ahead and postponed the game, since there is no threat of rain for Friday.

The game will kick off at 6 p.m. today at Tom F. Williams Memorial Stadium on the Natchez High School campus.
