VIDALIA — Two Clayton men were arrested after allegedly robbing two men at gunpoint.
Kashan D. Wiggins, 18, 212 Louisiana 900 and Jeremy D. Williams, 19, 336 Louisiana 900, were arrested by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Ferriday Police in connection with a Friday night armed robbery in Clayton.
Williams, who was allegedly carrying a pistol, reportedly threatened the victims at a Louisiana 900 residence and left the scene with a small amount of cash, a statement from the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Wiggins had allegedly entered and exited the residence without alerting the homeowners to his or Williams’ presence before Williams allegedly threatened the victims, who were guests at the residence, the statement said.
Pursued by CPSO deputies and Ferriday Police, the suspects stopped their getaway car at the intersection of Concordia Drive and Greathouse Street in Ferriday.
Three individuals reportedly fled from the vehicle, and Wiggins and Williams were eventually captured, the statement said.
After the occupants of the vehicle abandoned it, the car reportedly rolled backwards into a mobile home — occupied by a woman and three children — on Concordia Drive, the statement said.
Wiggins is charged with armed robbery, and was served a warrant for a previous second-degree battery charge.
Williams is charged with two counts armed robbery, aggravated flight from an officer and simple criminal damage to property.
The incident remains under investigation.
