Church to dedicate family life center

Published Saturday, November 22, 2008

NATCHEZ — Stanton Baptist Church will celebrate the completion of its family life center this Sunday. The new building was completed last week, and is debt free.

The celebration will include morning and evening services preached by the Rev. Randall Creel of Forest. Creel is a full-time evangelist. The morning service begins at 11 a.m. The evening service begins at 6 p.m.

After the morning service, there will be a thanksgiving meal.

Guests are welcome for the service and lunch, and a nursery will be provided. There will be no discipleship training Sunday night.

The new building is a two-story structure that contains an apartment for visiting preachers, a basketball court, a large kitchen and meeting rooms.

The church, under the leadership of the Rev. Steve Purvis, began the project two years ago.

The church is located at 1303 U.S. 61 North.
