Many thanks for the photos! Due to the storm, I have been unable to talk to family in Natchez.

Power was finally restored yesterday and cable came back on today. Glad to be able to see these pictures and the number of trees down throughout our city. Liberty Road, Devereaux, Duncan Park areas were also hard hit. Hope you are able to post some more pictures.

To (fire39212) and other residents of any State; invest in a generator. I can't tell you how many times I have Thanked God for ours. It serviced our whole family, sister's, brother's, father, son's, daughter's, even too the 5th generation of my family. During the hurricane, I finally got to meet my great grandson for the first time & my father got to see him too. We had 5 generations together w/ their familys and it was wonderful. Thank God nobody in our family lost anything but food and gas too Gustav. My granddaughter was up from LaPlace, LA, outside of N.O. with some of their friends too and all made for a pleasent visit between the fears of the unknown. Her neighbor lost their home to Gustav and she cried for their loss and thanked God it wasn't their new home. Cell phones are a God send to the younger generation but also to the elderly. They can mean the difference between life and death if carried on the body. Even going for the paper can be deadly if you fall. Please arm your family members with cell phones. All Emergancies can be critical if no one is able to call for help.
And (no) I don't sell them; no pun intended. I just know of so many, many people they have helped including myself.

Also, for anyone that travles or gets detured due to road closures, etc. an OnStar is a wonderful investment too as I used mine yesterday due to Gustav on back roads that I had forgotten even exisited. I've reported accidents, etc. I'm sure they've saved many lives. Get with tecnogoly or get left behind as they say and it pays in the long run.

God Bless All Victims & Hero's...2008

Natchezbell i'm not sure if you think you are the only person with a generator but let me tell you you are not there are very few people who do not own a generator...It is expensive to run a generator..Cost us about 80.00 a day...As small as Natchez it is is no sense in lights being out a 6 days....
