TWENTY YEARS AGO — Many Miss-Lou athletes, including Jason Wisner, Ron Rushing, and Chris McRaney, are getting haircuts similar to the one of former Oklahoma and current Seattle Seahawks star Brian Bozworth.

TEN YEARS AGO — Trinity Episcopal running back Hicks Winters is named The Democrat’s Player of the Week after having 21 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints’ 24-7 win over River Oaks.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Grambling quarterback Bruce Eugene throws for 313 yards and two touchdowns and runs for two TDs as the Tigers score 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter for a 40-28 win over Alcorn State.
