Traveling cowgirl moving through Louisiana
Published Monday, April 27, 2009
NATCHEZ — Donna Byrne, who is traveling from Florida to Texas on horseback, is currently headed west from Clarence, La.
She is riding on U.S. 84 and is seeking places to stay for the night for the next couple of days.
Byrne lost her job and her home in Arcadia, Fla., when the ranch she lived and worked on closed. She is headed to Amarillo, Texas, where she hopes to find work as a ranch hand.
She is traveling with two horses and all her possessions and relying on donations along the way to survive.

Natchitoches is the closest town. Google it or search for it on MapQuest if you want to see where exactly she is on a map.
