In-home robbery leads to arrest of phone friends

NATCHEZ — Three Natchez men are in jail facing armed robbery charges after requesting to use a friend’s phone Thursday afternoon.
Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said Raymond Bailey, 19, Steven Polk, 22, and Christopher Stephens, 22, allegedly showed up at a friend’s house on Morgantown, near Oak Street, Road Thursday afternoon requesting to use the phone.
Once inside one of the men allegedly pulled a gun on the homeowner and struck him at least once, Mullins said.
The homeowner’s girlfriend was also home at the time and was not injured during the altercation.
It is not yet clear which of the men had the gun, Mullins said.
Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said the victim was able to identify his assailants.
And Thursday evening Godbold returned to the scene with one of the suspects who then led him to where the gun had been thrown away in a nearby field.
“The only thing that was stolen was (the victim’s) cell phone,” Godbold said. “That’s it.”
Mullins said since the cell phone was the only stolen item, police are inclined to believe the three men had motives other than robbery.
“We suspect there’s more going on,” Mullins said. “We’re still investigating.”

What ever went on they won,t do anything permanent to them. Parole,maybe,i doubt that.

i dont think there was no robbery...these 3 thugs knew the guy in the house and they have a personal thing going on with this dude , this is what i think... maybe this dude owes these 3 thugs money for something or whatever..

Christopher Stephens? From Vidalia? Isnt that the guy that won 20 thousand dollars a few months back with La lotto scratch offs?
If so, that boy is a thug. I think we have lost an entire generation to this thug mentality.

Remember there was some confusion about two different Christopher Sthepens. I just don't think the one who won the money is this one.

Wow, all of these "friends" robbing friends! With friends like these, who needs enemies. I recognized as of lately the loose use of the word friend. Either that, or some need to rethink who they call friends. It seems to me there is more to these friends robbing friends situations.

Craig is too much of a Rambo for sheriff. Drug dealers do not fear anyone. They will shot you in the back of the head,or gang up on you,or stick a icepick in your ribs when you turn your back,and or steal you blind till they die.Braggin about how they drug dealers fear Craig has sort of a humor about it. These killers don,t have remorse or fear anyone or anyting. They only understand what comes out of the end of a barrel.

" Two thugs broke into the home of an elderly man and was met with two rounds to the body from a shot gun . The two men died at the scene and was nearly decapitated from the shot gun blast . The home owner was charged with nothing . Society doesn't have to worry about these two criminals any more . "
This should be the fate of anyone whose brazen enough to break into a person's home . Please tell me that these cow pies will go to prison for a very long time .
