Police hunt two

One suspect ID'd, second unknown

Published Saturday, January 24, 2009

NATCHEZ — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the suspects in a Thursday armed robbery.

The intended victim of the robbery had gone to Seale Road in the Morgantown area to feed some horses he houses there when two black males in a green minivan approached him, ACSO Maj. Jody Waldrop said.

The suspects — who were described as black males who had dark complexions and were wearing ski masks — pulled a gun on the victim and demanded his money, but instead of complying the victim turned and ran, Waldrop said.

When the suspects pursued him, one of them reportedly fired a shot into the air, Waldrop said.

The victim was able to escape unharmed and without the loss of any money, Waldrop said.

Since then, investigators have developed enough information to issue a warrant for the arrest of Walter T. Jones, 23, Waldrop said.

The second suspect has not yet been identified.

In December, Metro Narcotics conducted a drug raid on Elbow Lane, from which Jones reportedly fled on foot after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole in reverse. Jones should be considered armed and dangerous, Waldrop said.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000 or the ACSO at 601-442-2752.

If all the law abiding citizens carried a gun all the time then this headline would have been " 2 less thugs to worry about'! Take a stand people! Stop being bullied by thugs!

Roger that Stu.
Law abiding citizens need to be aware the law is on their side. Check state gun laws. Some may be surprised what we need not tolerate. Law enforcement can only react after you call 911. What will you do until then?

FYI I went through a roadblock in Centreville, MS. Had my .25 with me and it is registered, they told me my firearm in my vehicle works just like as if it was in my home. They stated like this, "It is an extension of your home" I am not taking any chances with me nor my families life. Life is precious and I will do what I have to do to protect me and mine.

Thin skinned folks on here don't like what some of you say. I really don't know if it's readers of the posts who whine or people at the nd who take exception to our posts.
Several of you told it as it should be.

Dragonfly i will sum that up for you. If your a law abiding citizen carry what you want how you want in your vehicle then your ok.
If you're gonna be a thug then watch out. If you have a weapon and drugs in a car then the penalty is enhanced. And can go to federal court along with local causing you to have another stiffer charge. And no this is not double jeapordy!
