“We are pleased to offer this program to our campus and community,” said Teresa Busby, vice president of the Natchez campus. “Education is the key to a healthy lifestyle. We are especially grateful to our special guest speakers and to our Respiratory Care Program and LPN program instructors and students for putting together this program.”
According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, are our nation’s No. 1 killer. To urge Americans to join the battle against these diseases, since 1963 Congress has required the president to proclaim February “American Heart Month.”
The American Heart Association works with the administration to draft and sign this annual proclamation.
