Burnette receives degree from SUNY

ALBANY, N.Y. — Damon Curtis Burnette Sr., received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the State Universty of New York in Albany, N.Y.
He graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society, Who’s Who of American Students and was selected to be a participant for the Chancellor Award in the State of New York.
He was also team captain on the baseball team and named male athlete of the year in 2005-2006 for excellence in academics and athletics.
He plans to continue his studies and obtain a doctorate in pharmacology.
Burnette is the son of Teresa Burnette of New York and Curtis Burnette Jr. of Natchez.
He is also the grandson of the late C.C. “Bill” and Audrey Bass Boache and the late Curtis Burnette Sr and Mamie Reeves Burnette of Ferriday.
