IP Quarter-Century Club event May 16
Published Thursday, May 7, 2009
NATCHEZ — This year’s meeting of the International Paper Company’s Quarter-Century Club will be May 16.
The club is comprised of former IP employees that worked at the plant for at least 25 years.
Mildred Hughes spent 32 years at the plant and helps to coordinate the event.
“We want as many people as possible to show up,” she said. “It’s going to be a good time.”
The meeting and fish fry will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Natchez Shrine Club on Morgantown Road.

These are the real people that built Natchez. They raised familys here and poured their hard earned money back into the community. Coached and supported all the youth of the area. Who would believe we would miss the smell of the mill while riding by acres of christmas decorations.
