Flood talk to take place June 10 in Woodville

woodville — Flood information will be available at the Flood Risk Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday June 10.
The event is hosted by the Mississippi Flood Map Modernization Initiative Team at the Wilkinson County Courthouse in Woodville.
Information on the recently completed preliminary Flood Insurance Study and its accompanying preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps will be available.
Additionally, information of base flood and areas subject to flood hazards will be available.
Local and state officials will be present to provide information about flood risk and insurance, floodplain development requirements and the process used for floodplain mapping.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
